Last night I was channel flipping, going down in numbers. I got to channel 12, which here is TBS, and it was the end of The Wizard of Oz. Great movie. A fine coincidence. I note the channel, and continue through the last few to see if anything better was on.

So I went down one more channel, which is TNT, and The Wizard of Oz was on that channel was well. At the same part (I think TBS' was about 40 seconds ahead). Freakin' weird.

What are the odds that on November 9th, a random Friday night, at the exact same time two cable channels which, as far as I know, don't have anything to do with each others programming, would be showing the same movie at the same time? And not a new movie, but a very old movie.

The odd thing though was that The Wizard of Oz was re-released on DVD maybe a year ago on a special edition, which I bought. I think it was newly restored or something. Anyway, TBS had a restored, more colorful version, where it looked like TNT had the original.

Man, I love that movie.

Earlier I was watching the Braves/Marlins game on TBS, and in the first inning, one of the guys hit the ball deep into the outfield (I forget which side, I think RF). Now the ball looked like it would be close to a home run, and one of the fans sitting back there f'ing reached over the fence to catch the ball. In the replay it clearly showed him sticking his hands below the yellow line, where the ball would've hit and not have been a home run.

What the hell kind of asshole fan would ruin the game like that? If it's out of there, fine, but he had to REACH DOWN to grab it. Batter gets a double, when it could've potentially been a triple, or an out. I think this was before the 3-run homer, so this could've probably changed the whole game. Well, in the end it wasn't actually close, but in theory... Use common sense, people.

I think I may have just hit a new low point in my life, but only people who are familiar with the area around UCF will understand.

Tonight I went through a Taco Bell drive-thru and placed a standard order. I got home, and saw that they messed up my order pretty bad, so I'm still hungry. I went to the Taco Bell website to look for a complaint form (they give you free stuff), and began filling it out, and of course they ask which store I went to.

So I enter the store number or whatever, the town, state, then either the zipcode or landmark. What, am I visiting a Taco Bell by the Grand Canyon or something? So weird.

But the real sad part is that it was the Taco Bell at the intersection of Alafaya and 50, and you know what the landmark for that shopping plaza is? The Taco Bell. That's "The Taco Bell Plaza." I would've put that, but I didn't want to inflate their egos too much before I tore them back down with my eloquent complaining.

In other news, why is it so much more fun to watch a movie on TV, even when I have it on DVD right next to me. I mean, there's censoring and commercials on TV, yet I let Jerry Maguire keep playing on TBS, with these terrible mom-and-pop commercials. Who knows...
