Last night another one of the greats died. He was 83.

This is another loss of a super-talented actor. Butch Cassidy is like the only Western I actually like. The Sting is an exceptionally great movie. Cool Hand Luke, The Color of Money, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Verdict.... He will be missed.

RIP George Carlin

Damnit. George Carlin died today (well, yesterday, Sunday) of heart failure. He was 71. And I am sad. He was quite possibly one of the funniest men ever, and his book Napalm and Silly Putty is one of my favorites. A sad, sad event.

R.I.P. Charlton Heston

Tonight I spent the evening watching 'Blood Diamond.' Sadly, when I returned online, Yahoo!'s main story was that Charlton Heston has died. He was 84.

It's always sad when a legendary screen actor dies, even if one isn't too familiar with their work. For me when I hear 'Charlton Heston' I immediately think of 'Planet of the Apes' and 'Ben-Hur,' two great movies. Of course, he's been in many, many other movies (numerous sites mention 'The Ten Commandments,' which I have not seen). I'm a bit too young, but I'm sure my parents are taking this hard. Either way, R.I.P. one more legend from the golden age of Hollywood. Yippee for morbid news.

I really hate Paris Hilton. There's numerous reasons for this, but one of the most lingering is how full of herself she is. Here's an example:

“I think every decade has an iconic blonde — like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana — and right now, I’m that icon.” Link

You've got to be kidding me. Marilyn Monroe worked her way up to stardom. Marilyn Monroe was sexy. Marilyn Monroe was an icon, could actually act (towards the end of her career), and was an innovator (with her image). Paris Hilton is a narcissistic bitch who was born with $34987539846379679 and the only thing she does is go around promoting herself.

It's tragic that both Marilyn and Princess Di had their lives ended before their time was up - and maybe I'll go to Hell for saying this - but hopefully Paris follows them sometime soon, in one way or another.

Celebrities adopting kids is one of the latest trends. If I recall correctly (my knowledge of celebrity gossip is pretty small), Angelina Jolie adopted, and I think Jessica Simpson is now too. I Think Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman adopted a few kids.

Now, on one hand, lucky kid, growing up with rich and famous parents. Must be a pretty good life. However, it's all a raffle, and what if you were up for adoption and got picked up by some really scary celebrity, i.e. Michael Jackson (just a random example). That would suck.

I think I would rather stay homeless or swallow battery acid than be adopted by Mariah Carey, Sharon Stone, or Queen Latifah. Seriously - poor kids.
