So say you're walking down a hallway or a sidewalk or something and there's not very many people in your proximity, and as you're walking you see someone coming in the opposite direction, right in your path of travel.
So you and that other person keep walking, hoping the other person will move to one side, and they don't, so eventually you're about 2-3 feet from each other, and you decide that you'll move to the right. Then at the same time they move to their left, so you're still in front of each other.
'Sorry, excuse me,' you both say, then you both move a step in the other direction, so you're still in front of each other. This goes back and forth two or three more times before finally one of you just stops moving and says 'alright, I'll go this way, you go that way,' and then you both walk off feeling like jackasses.
God, I hate that.
